Ergue-se como uma torre, construída pela sobreposição de blocos quadrangulares que, num todo, simulam uma parede, sólida e vigilante. Contudo, no seu interior habita uma agitação: dispositivos eletrónicos ocultos insistem em bater nas paredes internas, produzindo um som secreto, quase conspiratório. A escultura guarda ainda um registo sonoro: duas vozes que conversam, que discutem na intimidade. Mas nada se entrega facilmente. Os sons só se deixam ouvir a quem se aproxima, a quem encosta o ouvido à matéria, assumindo inevitavelmente o gesto curioso e ligeiramente indiscreto de quem escuta aquilo que talvez não lhe fosse destinado. Assim, a obra transforma o espectador em cúmplice: recorda-nos que até as paredes, aparentemente mudas, podem escutar.

It stands like a tower, built by stacking square blocks that, as a whole, simulate a solid, watchful wall. However, inside it there is a commotion: hidden electronic devices insist on tapping on the internal walls, producing a secret, almost conspiratorial sound. The sculpture also holds a sound recording: two voices talking, discussing in private. But nothing is easily revealed. The sounds can only be heard by those who approach, who put their ear to the material, inevitably assuming the curious and slightly indiscreet gesture of someone listening to something that may not have been intended for them. Thus, the work transforms the viewer into an accomplice: it reminds us that even walls, seemingly mute, can listen.
