A instalação escultórica explora o impacto da gentrificação e a tensão entre a construção física da casa e o conceito emocional de lar, questionando a transformação urbana acelerada que frequentemente desumaniza o espaço habitacional e o reduz a produto de mercado. A escultura apresenta uma estrutura de tijolos que evoca o esqueleto da casa, uma parede, enquanto realidade física, mas ganha significado através da interação do meu corpo com esse espaço, reforçando a ideia de que a casa só se torna lar pela presença humana, pelas relações e memórias que nela se constroem. O tijolo remete simultaneamente para o gesto primordial de construir e para a fragilidade simbólica da habitação num contexto de mudança urbana forçada. Ao fundir o corpo e a estrutura, a obra evidencia a tensão entre permanência e efemeridade e afirma-se como uma declaração poética e política sobre a urgência de preservar a identidade e o direito de permanecer nos territórios urbanos e quando há progresso nos espaços urbanos, apelar à responsabilidade e empatia.

The sculptural installation explores the impact of gentrification and the tension between the physical construction of the house and the emotional concept of home, questioning the accelerated urban transformation that often dehumanizes living space and reduces it to a market product. The sculpture features a brick structure that evokes the skeleton of a house, a wall, as a physical reality, but gains meaning through the interaction of my body with this space, reinforcing the idea that a house only becomes a home through human presence, through the relationships and memories that are built within it. The brick simultaneously refers to the primordial gesture of building and to the symbolic fragility of housing in a context of forced urban change. By merging the body and the structure, the work highlights the tension between permanence and ephemerality and asserts itself as a poetic and political statement on the urgency of preserving identity and the right to remain in urban territories and, when there is progress in urban spaces, to appeal to responsibility and empathy.
