A instalação reflete a temporalidade de um espaço – Carvoaria, galeria Zaratan, e as suas marcas históricas através de um objecto em forma de cornucópia modelado para ser colocado na cavidade do anfiteatro, símbolo da riqueza cultural e da fluência de ideias que a galeria acolhe. Revestidas a látex — material que evoca a pele humana — representam as pessoas que constroem o “lugar” através de memórias e acontecimentos. O solo, coberto por carvão, remete ao passado comercial do espaço ligado à produção e venda deste material, evocando a importância de preservar a memória enquanto se projeta o futuro. Pequenos motores de vibração geram movimento e som nas peças e no carvão, sugerindo vitalidade, continuidade e a dinâmica presente e futura do espaço.

The installation reflects the temporality of a space – Coal yard, Zaratan Gallery, and its historical marks through an object in the shape of a cornucopia designed to be placed in the amphitheatre’s cavity, a symbol of the cultural wealth and flow of ideas that the gallery hosts. Covered in latex — a material that evokes human skin — they represent the people who build the ‘place’ through memories and events. The floor, covered with coal, refers to the commercial past of the space linked to the production and sale of this material, evoking the importance of preserving memory while projecting the future. Small vibration motors generate movement and sound in the pieces and in the coal, suggesting vitality, continuity and the present and future dynamics of the space.
