Ao olhar para cima, qualquer transeunte é surpreendido pela presença inesperada de um objeto que, visto do exterior, pode oscilar entre elemento decorativo e estendal improvisado. A escultura instalativa invade o espaço exterior e afirma que o lugar da obra não é neutro, sendo o próprio espaço um agente que condiciona e molda o corpo e o significado do objeto artístico. Instalado no terceiro andar de um edifício habitacional comum, o trabalho estende-se por cerca de dezasseis metros, atravessando interior e exterior e explorando a tensão entre dois contextos que implicam comportamentos distintos: a casa, um espaço íntimo e privado, e o exterior, um domínio público e partilhado. Nesta articulação simbólica, a obra sugere também a continuidade entre ambos os mundos, lembrando que, onde quer que estejamos, transportamos sempre connosco aquilo que vestimos e, metaforicamente, aquilo que somos.

When looking up, any passer-by is surprised by the unexpected presence of an object that, seen from the outside, can oscillate between decorative element and improvised clothesline. The installation sculpture invades the outdoor space and affirms that the place of the work is not neutral, the space itself being an agent that conditions and shapes the body and meaning of the artistic object. Installed on the third floor of a common residential building, the work extends for about sixteen metres, crossing interior and exterior and exploring the tension between two contexts that imply different behaviours: the home, an intimate and private space, and the exterior, a public and shared domain. In this symbolic articulation, the work also suggests continuity between both worlds, reminding us that, wherever we are, we always carry with us what we wear and, metaphorically, what we are.
